Get involved

There are clear ways
to help scholars grow.

The Foundation needs mentors, public secondary school partners, donors, professional volunteers, and community supporters who can help academically promising scholars learn, lead, serve, and prepare for future opportunities.

Mentor a scholar group

Mentor

Mentors support a small scholar group through consistent Mentor Sessions, periodic check-ins, training, guidance, and safeguarding expectations before meeting scholars. Mentoring is a voluntary, unpaid role based in Lagos. Full terms are set out at the information briefing and in the written agreement.

Apply to mentor Open to committed professionals from any field. Character, consistency, and availability matter most.
How involvement works

A clear route for every contribution

Choose a role.
Know what it requires.

Mentoring and facilitation are selected roles with applications, references, training, and safeguarding requirements. School partnerships begin with a conversation and a review of fit. Other volunteers and professional contributors are matched to a specific need rather than added to a general list.

The Foundation does not place volunteers in contact with Scholars simply because they have offered their time. The role, boundaries, supervision, and purpose must be clear first.

Financial support is discussed against an identified Programme need. A secure payment route is being established; until it is available, the form below records interest and allows the Foundation to respond directly.

Other ways to contribute

Additional roles

Speakers, volunteers,
and founding supporters.

The Programme also needs professionals who can speak at Career Awareness Days, help scholars practise applications and interviews, or serve as Academy Facilitators for Academy Sessions.

Academy Facilitator: A paid role based in Lagos, engaged under a written agreement. Full terms are set out at the information briefing and in the written agreement.

Founding team members, committee volunteers, and future governance supporters are welcome to express interest. As the Foundation grows, thoughtful people will be needed to protect quality and accountability.

If you benefited from a mentor, scholarship, school support programme, or community leader and want to give back, we would be glad to hear from you.
